Will Clark is an affable soul. His parents died when he was very young, Will was raised by his grandparents. Shortly after beginning high school, his grandfather died. Since that day, it’s been Will and Granny Clark facing the world together. Fortunately, Will’s grandfather left enough money for Granny and Will to live comfortably.
Will remembered what his Grandfather taught him. Always be honest, be truthful (unless to do so would really hurt an innocent). Find your job that you lie, or could lead to your dream job and always work hard.
Will worked for his high school newspaper, spending his senior year as the managing editor. He was able to attend University of Metroplex where he majored in journalism and minored in business. He worked hard, advancing all the way to the editorial board of the Ummm newspaper.
After graduating college, Will worked in a variety of newspaper and radio jobs, which brought him to the attention of Gerry Black, the managing editor of Metroplex’s number one newspaper, the Daily Trifecta.
One day, Will was given the assignment to interview Professor Bratwurst about a new serum he invented to “cure the common cold.” When Will met Professor Bratwurst, Professor Bratwurst corrected Will’s assumption. What Professor Bratwurst had invented was a serum that would give ordinary people super powers like Superman. Will is skeptical, but does agree to take a few of the serums to a lab who can examine the serums to see what they consisted of.
On the way back to the Daily Trifecta, Will saw a mugger trying to steal a lady’s purse. Deciding it’s now or never, Will swallowed one of the tubes of serum and was transformed into the protector of the downtrodden, friend of the forces of law and order, the worst nightmare any crook could imagine, Mr. Magnificent!
When I was a child, we had Superman, but they were repeats even in my childhood. We had Batman on ABC, of course. And Batman begat two superhero spin offs. CBS had one named Mr. Terrific. Mr. Terrific was a normal person who took a pill provided by our government and turned into a superhero. NBC had Captain Nice.
Captain Nice was a police chemist named Carter Nash. Carter Nash invented a serum that would turn him into a superhero. Carter Nash first used his formula to break up a mugging. Someone asked him what the CN on his belt buckle stood for and he replied “Captain Nice.” He said later that name was all he could think of.
Both of the last two TV shows lasted only a year. Probably a bit bragging, but I suppose when Captain Nice was canceled, this little tiny wish planted itself in the already twisted mind of a seven year old. As far back as I could remember, I’ve wanted to do my version of Captain Nice.
I also watched Superman cartoons on Saturday morning as well as Underdog, Rocky and Bullwinkle and Roger Ramjet. (Look the names up, if you don’t recognize them.)
I picked up a piece of animation software called Cartoon Animator which had some superhero figures with it. I’m using AI to create the models and can complete everything inside of Cartoon Animator, so I can animate all the movements inside Cartoon Animator.
That’s all I want to say right now. Please, continue to scan through this website. Make certain to either listen to the episodes or watch the episodes. Tell us what you think, one way or the other, just tell us what you think.
